Day 7 (Brugge - Fécamp - Caen = 483Km)
We left Brugge in the morning around 9h00. We had very nice time there like we said and definitely recommend it.
Our destination was Caen however we had decided to do a little detour to see Fécamp where one can visit a beach with beautiful chalk cliffs. So the plan was to get some lunch and rest a bit there while taking some pictures.

Arrival at Fécamp beach |

Nice bay...the beach however is composed entirely of pebbles... no sand (it looks nice anyway :) |
 |
One can find chalk rocks like these all over the place |
 |
A famous Monet painting was done at this location |
 |
We had the chalk so... we had to do it LOL (yes we know its cheesy LOL) |
 |
The cliffs up-close |
After that it was only a short trip to Caen. The trip to Caen was nice in a way since we spend some time in smaller roads where one can enjoy typical French rural landscape.

French rural landscape on our way to Caen |
The whole journey was quite relaxed (much less traffic on these roads then what we have experienced so far). The amazing thing again is the weather... it's the first of October and we had 31ºC in Caen and around 28ºC during the whole trip).
Caen will basically serve as our base to explore Bayeux and the D-day beaches. We had some time to walk around in Caen and visit the Guillaume Le Conquerant Castle (unfortunately it has been mostly devastated during the wars.
